Very Scary Accident!!!

Thread Starter
I was reading the thread on the 700Mhz 8800GTS 640Mb overclock, and I( clumsily spilled my glass of water on my desk. Wel, my P180B is two inches at most from the edge of the desk, and the water went right into the top exhaust port... So I frantically ripped the plug out of the wal. I put my hand in the case, ony to feel a arge puddle of water on top of the video card. This sucks, because my 22inch monitor comes in the UPS truck tomorrow. So after a thorough investigation, and turning the heater on next to a floor fan (portable heater from the closet). I puled apart the video assembly(I just pulled it out of the PCIE socket) and checked for water. Sure enough, wet too. I dried it and decided to wait a few minutes and did the paper towel test. No more moisture. So, being impatient, I turned it back on. This horrendous ong beep went on and then computer died.

I threw my keyboard across the room, picked up my mouse and tossed it against the wa. This sucks!!! So much money and time wasted by a clumsy move and a glass of water.

Then I reaized I hadn't plugged the power cable bac into the card. Flipped the switch and the boot screen came up. Whew!!! I am never even sneezing near my PC again!
