TAT + Vista = Broken?

I just put my OC back up to 3.6ghz and installed Vista and for some reason I'm now idling at 43C according to TAT, in Windows XP I idled at 35C. . .

My ambient is a bit higher atm, but I mean, christ, that's a pretty big difference.

If you're OC'ing don't use Vista

Why? OCing is mostly hardware related, other than the testing software.

SpeedFan says Core0: 34/ Core1: 35, Bios: 35, everest: nothing :'(, haven't tried coretemp.

Tat should be the most accurate, always worked under XP, but this is just insane.

Vista is doing a lot more in terms of background resources, so your system is never really idle in Vista. Same goes for GPU temps...

OHHHHHH, so it's like those small spikes in temps I would get on XP if I would open like 10x Firefox windows all at once? Gotcha! lol
