I have to tell the BIOS not to monitor it to make it stop doing that. But its running...full speed far as I can tell. Even turned the little switch all the way up to make it go as fast as it can. Maybe I have it plugged into the wrong slot on the motherboard or something? I also went and set all my settings back to exactly what you recommended earlier. And orthos stops after 5 minutes...temps run just above 60 on load and at 48 still without the load.
You do have the fan on the the Zalman plugged in right?
If you do, you must have it plugged into the wrong port or the BIOS wouldn't give the CPU fan error. With the temps you are reporting it sounds like the fan isn't on, either that or you have a bad mount.
For OC settings, try these:
CPU Multiplier 8
FSB term 1.4v
RAM timings 4-4-4-12-5-35-5-3-7-11 ( You ABSOLUTELY have to set the RAM subtimings on a P5B or it will be unstable way before it actually should be, the default 40-10-10-10-10 is crap)
RAM Speed - set to 1:1
With that FSB and vcore you should idle aroun 38C, if your Zalman is properly mounted AND has the correct amount of thermal paste
