DDR3 pushed to 2200MHz using Gigabyte P35T-DQ6 - Page 2

Nope, definitely 8 bits per clock. Well, 1 byte.

Well ya, but latency is based not only on timings, but on frequency too...

While you have 2200Mhz, this means 2,200,000 cycles a second. latency would be lowered as the frequency goes up, because the timings are based on clock cycles. 10 means 10 clock cycles. The more clock cycles in a second, the shorter the latency actually is...

get it?

So this stuff is gonna be...well...fast.

That's exactly what I was thinking. I'm not impressed until I see some bandwidth benchmarks.

Wouldnt 10-10-10 DDR3 2200 be the same as DDR2 5-5-5 1100mhz? Because of the double speed thing.
And intel doenst care about timings as much as amd so this would pwn Pc8800 Ram. Its like Pc16000 Ram..

I am in fact laughing at the people who do not really understand what timings are, and assume smaller is better (like their weiner; nah, just joking there).

Nice try XD
Bandwidth=you want a high number in Mb/s=Tight (small) timings+highest frequency
To get this you need more voltage and cool temps.

and sideburns you forget a few zero's

2200mhz is 2,200,000,000,000 cycles a second.
