Stock LGA775 cooler on 7-Series

Thread Starter
I seen this the other day, and allegedly the guy idles lower than me at 1.5 than I do stock!

Seems pretty crazy. Whats the deal with this? Just mount up the cooler as you would on a motherboard? Or are there modifications required?

other than a bracket modification to hold/clamp the HSF in place, nothing else really, intel stock cooler comes with thermal grease, in fact i have one from my 6400 laying around since i used BT.

although you could rub off grease lap it and then use AS5
