Hi - Again

Sorry to bug u all but now that I have selected my primary components I would like some advice on this proposed flow layout / design. Can i get away with this layout.

The CPU and GPU are likely to be on a 1/2" line with the NB, Mem and Mos on a 3/8" or 1/4" line. Will this work in terms of flow etc. Will one res be enough.

Main components are as follows not selected RAM, NB or MOS blocks yet.

Res - Swiftech MCRES Micro Reservoir
Rad - Black Ice GTX III Gen 2 Xtreme Triple Radiator
Pump - Laing D5-Pump 12V 1/2"
CPU - D-Tek Fuzion
GPU - EK 8800 GTX Full Cover GPU

why dont you have rad before res and after it cools all teh components

otherwise looks fine

and dont cool memory its a waste of flow and wont get much difference in performance or overclockability

I wouldn't split my loop like that...It looks fine up till the split...The most restrictive block will get less flow...And its usually the CPU block that is the most restrictive even if you do neck down to a smaller tube for the other....If you wan to WC all that put it on two loops...

Put some fans on the mem and NB and volt. reg...And just WC the CPU and GPU...

I run mine res-pump-rad-cpu-any other blocks...

Res - pump - cpu - gpu - rad - then back to res.

Honest question BTW, not being a smart ass. Setting up a WC loop currently myself.

Figured Res -> Pump -> Rad -> Blocks would result in the best cooling..

You are correct, cpu directy after rad ensures coldest temps in water before hitting cpu bock...

Becuase the res holds all the water, thus, the cold water can circulate through your loop then at the end of the loop it goes to the rad, getting rid of the heat.

Still doesn't make any sense to me, when you could have the rad feeding directly to your blocks... therefore the coolest water is going straight to work cooling your CPU, etc.

Ok so will opt for

Res > Pump > Rad > CPU > GPU > NB > Res

I figure Rad b4 Blocks but would worry about Warm Liquid in Pump so may move to the end of the loop.

On this board the NB does get toasty

Will forget about Mem etc for now.

Lap your NB heatsink, or buy an after market and maybe lap that. Should be very sufficient, no need for WC I'd think.
