1000+Mhz HTT...and still stable.

Thread Starter
for all you who still think that having the HTT above 1ghz is unstable, i've ran orthos for 10 hours at 1160Mhz, and no errors. if you have a high quality mobo, like the DFI lanparty, and you are having stability issues, try rasing the HTT speed and voltage. Ihatethedukes will say the same thing... In other news, i got 2.9Ghz stable! woot

I think they are good up to like 2160. I run my HTT at 4x and fsb at 270. So 270x4=1080 x2 = 2160. The difference between my setup at 3x vs. 4x is about a 1000 points in 3DMark06. People say it don't matter what its set at but for me higher is better.

well seems that there isnt any performance increase from running it over 1000mhz or 800mhz then why bother putting strain on it ?

But for me there is a performance difference. 270x3=810 vs 270x4=1080. The higher setting performs better. And I tested it pretty well.

Totaly agree. I have had mine well over the 1000 mark and just can't get any valid indication that it is of any benifit.
