how come in the faq there is a little green box and on my computer it is yellow, and only at 3% even though its been folding all day, and it doesnt show progress inside the actual fah program, all it says is 'working'?

whats going on? lol 3% in a whole day of folding???
only 163 ppd?? slow dont u think?
whats the normal amout of ppd that someone gets with a c2d?

heres a screenshot:

thanks!

Two things:

1. The different colors represent status of the folding.
Quote:
  • Black
FahMon is unable to access to the directory where this client is located.
  • Red
The client is currently stopped.
  • Orange
The client seems to be inactive or in an unknown state. The former happens most of the time when the elapsed time since the last completed frame is too high (this happens if another process is using the processor). An unknown state occurs when FahMon does not have sufficient information to decide whether the client is running or not. Check the Messages Window to find out what is happening.
  • Green
Everything is Ok, FahMon should display all information about this client, as long as the project database is up to date
2. If those readings are correct, and I am a bit suspect of that, you will finish the WU in 8 days. After 4 days, the WU will automatically delete itself and start over on a new one. You dont want that. Are you running more than one client on the laptop? If you go to the FAHmon menu and choose benchmarks, what does it say for your average and min times?

I am not sure if your system is throttling down, or something like that. But you may need to run two seperate single cores if that is how the SMP is running on your system. The does seem very slow considering you have a C2D, even if it is a laptop, it should be faster than that.

If it's faster than what Fahmon is recording, stick with that you are getting off the console. If the console is actually going up by %'s, just subtract how long ago you had the other %.
