Will ram help my fps?

I have a gateway mx7525 laptop with a amd athlon 64 4000+ it has 512mb of ram integrated and 512mb removable for 1g total i can remove the 512 and replace with 1g for 1536mb total my graphics are ati mobility x600 w/128mb dedicated and 128mb hypermemory(shared) if i upgrade from 1g ram to 1536mb will this improve my gaming mainly fps?

Its a laptop the extra 512 wont help at all unless its running vista

yeah, adding more ram to my rig accomplishes little, I've tried. I haven't tried 3GB's yet though, just 2GB. So I'm kinda thinking it won't do much for yours.

I just added 1 gig to my system today, and it boosted all my fps and let me max out the settings on bf2 and 2142 @1280x1024

Unfortunately that was a different situation, as i have a 7900gs and a c2d

Nope, it won't help much at all, and probably wouldnt be worth the money anyway

I am going to have to say no it won't help with your FPS as much as it will in the sense of allowing better multi-tasking in general =/
