Quake 4 is another game that takes advantage of dual cores.

Supreme Commander (nearly unplayable without a dual core)
CoH (utilizes it a bit on highest physics setting).

Many recent games are multi-threaded. However, almost none fully utilize the multiple cores. Like 80% of the work is done on one core and the second core handles whatever is left. It is easier to throw non-essential processes on the second core then to write code the completely is multi-threaded.

I would realy like to see muti core or threaded games it would (IMO)lower the system specs required to play a game.Istead of having a take 100% of one core and slow you down it can do 50% 50% and still have head room for more. Thus making it easyer to play the game.

It's not as simple as... I want, make it happen. Don't you think developers want their games to require less system requirements? Gaming is a pretty much linear application since much of it depends on the real-time input of the user.

Unfortunately many of us haven't upgraded to Dual core yet, but soon we will see many more multi-threaded games though. But most of the big releases of this year will probably support Dual-cores natively.
