HELP: How To Overclock a E6600 - Page 2

Intel CPU's are quad-pumped in that the FSB setting say 400 FSB is really 1600 FSB. The new Asus boards, I have the P5N Sli, rates them in the already quad-pumped fashion. So when they say bump the FSB to 333 it's actually 333 x4. I think you have it since you state 1333 but more a clarification going forward.

yeah, nvidia chipsets have you set the end bus speed, so 333 x 4 is 1333. For intel chipsets you set the FSB before multiplication, so you just change it to 333.

There's no need to run the memory in unlinked mode since you aren't trying to OC the RAM past your FSB. I think running in unlinked mode also defaults you to a 2T command rate, but I'm not 100% sure on that. You can check with CPU-Z.

Check your voltages and make sure your auto settings aren't overvolting, and if not and you're stable as is then I would just leave them. Once you get a little more experience under your belt you'll probably end up tweaking them anyway.
