Folding for 37726 - Page 3

Cool,

Sometimes the screen does not update.

This can especially happen if you somehow have dragged your mouse across the console window with the mouse button held down. It actually freezes the console screen and puts it in select text mode (good for copy and paste of the text on the screen.) When this happens, the console does not update, but folding continues in the background. To fix this either stop and restart the console, or click on the console, or I think even hitting enter in the console will release it for updates again.

Always use Control-C to stop a console, it is the safest method. Using the X button to close the console can cause WU loss.

search for your folding name there. You don't get points until the WU is submitted.

You can also do this without going through that much effort. Just go into control panel/automatic updates and choose the option for automatically download but prompt for installation. That has saved me a lot of hassles, though the little "you have updates to install" prompts are a bit annoying.
