Convince your loved ones that watercooling is the way to go!

Thread Starter
I am having a small problem in my little world. I am a huge computer geek and my family, girlfriend, friends all know this. BUT. I want to watercool my C2D computer. I have battled my loved ones here about this. They feel it’s a horrible idea (leaking, running the tubes, mounting the parts, etc). I have tried to convince them it will work.

Did anyone else have to convince your loved ones that watercooling (or nearly any other upgrades) was a good idea? If so, how did you do it??

I am a Human being and I want to better myself. Air is for those who dont want to go to the next step. Without people like me you wouldn't have colour TVs and mobile phones. Let me grow and learn!!!!

Ummm tour PC, your choice. Unless they paid for everything, I don't see why you need to convince them at all...

I built the computer and everything but I want to use college graduation money to pay for the watercooling. Hence, part of the problem too...

I will be replacing the motherboard soon too... haha

If you're going off the college, you don't need their blessing to spend your money how you see fit. Just buy it, and screw trying to talk them into it.

You could save money like I'm doing and start looking at car raditors and use them instead of the smaller more costly radiators.

You could show them pictures of all the computer with water cooling in the post you water cooler system here thread.

Bring the PC home and get some Delta fans... Your family will beg for you to get watercooling.
Once again...

I agree. Make the thing as loud as possible so they can't stand it. Maybe even make one of the fans squeal extra loud so that when they complain you can say "If I had watercooling you wouldn't even be able to hear it!"
