I have to say, i talked with Intel yesterday...They don't suggest using TAT...it can be incorrect...They say to use a 3rd party such as SpeedFan and to only worry about your T_case temps...

Speedfan reads the T_case... If you need to know your max T_case go here http://processorfinder.intel.com/default.aspx and find it..

Now I'm really confused.
I haven't been here for a while, but when I was last here TAT was the flavor of the month and everyone was saying for the C2D only use TAT and ignore other results. Now you guys are saying don't use TAT.
I'm going back to using my motherboard temp monitoring software.......

TAT does read the right coretemps if you have a Tjunction of 85c, you can check this in Coretemp. If your Tjunction is 100c, take 15c off the coretemps.
