tell me i did the right thing - Page 2

yeah, i bought a viewsonic vx922, some problem as tuxeym...just take a dry cloth and apply very light pressure and brush the pixel, it fixed the problem pretty easily.
for the heck of it: i called up the company when i first discovered this and those cheap-skates had no clue what to do. nowadays this forum is my first reliance over calling those clueless tech-support dolts.

This site has info on how to make many games widescreen that don't natively support wide resolutions.

About the stuck pixel,

http://www.wikihow.com/Fix-a-Stuck-P...an-LCD-Monitor

Read up, you're not exactly screwed, you just got some work to do Good luck.

Nice screen btw, I'm loving my widescreen. Widescreen is better than letterbox IMO because I can see more than regular people in games, a nice advantage.

EDIT: As long as the stuck/dead pixel isn't black it's repairable.

so i decided to come back to me Viewsonic VX922. the LG i bought is good, but it really suck for gaming. it's to bad because i like the widescreen gaming experience.

so, my second rig is gonna enjoy the LCD screen. i had an old crappy CRT that was barely working.
