8800 GTX benchmark

Thread Starter
Hello all

So i just reinstalled everything, total wipe of the hard drive. i reinstalled all drivers and set everything up. restarted my computer after all the drivers were installed and even waited for my new os... Vista... to be done booting

i fire up 3dmark06 at 4 o'clock in the morning, its freaking freezing in the den so i thought this would bring the comp temp down a bit

anyway... it spits out a 3dmark score of 9245.

What do you guys think? if this is low can you recommend any troublshooting hints? all drivers are up to date and bios has been flashed for Motherboard.

If that's Vista that's about right for a Stock E6600 and GTX.

There are many factors which influence a benchmark ... OS / CPU - GPU - Mem Speed etc .. even running Vista that seems a bit low, pending your CPU speed of course .

An XP SP2 OS with a CPU around 3.6 and GPU at a low 626/1000, with no other tweaks should easily hit 12K in 3DM06.

Check your system stability and configuration.
