Are different. They most likely have different RAM Chips, also. And they definitely Overclock differently.

How does that prove to me that they are different? Where is the evidence for the different RAM chips?

If I increase the speed of my GPU and memory does that make it a different card? No.

Says the guy who bought the eVGA.
eVGA has the step-up program. The card also looks nicer, and is proven to overclock well.

OCZ seems to be in like every hardware group, that's weird.

They are all the same...
Wrong, the core is always the same and only some use the reference PCB. They are given a reference design and are told to make the PCB/ram themselves. Some change it, some use it. Perfect example are the dual x1950pro boards. That is NOT a reference PCB.

However, that does not mean OCZ did not use the reference PCB. They do however, bin their own ram.

They all are the same and use the same design. There's not a single GTX that's different than another GTX. Look at them closely and you'll see the same stuff, different color scheme maybe but same purpose and same, same, same.

As for better binned RAM?

My GTX does better than the OCZ:

650/1100. And I'm sure lots of other people can get the same clocks. Different schmifferent.
And that's not even its limits.

Try using ATItool like they were using to stress it versus the forceware test. I can get my FX5200 to hit 440 on my ram passing the driver test but can only get it stable down to 405.

I didn't have time to read the article, so bare with me if this has been answered... is OCZ actually claiming that they are manufacturing this or is it merely a rebranding like they do with power supplies?
