Check this out:

http://processorfinder.intel.com/det...px?sSpec=SL9S8

http://processorfinder.intel.com/det...px?sSpec=SL9ZL

Both are E6600, but the SL9S8 has the Tdiode enabled, while the SL9ZL does not. The SL9S8 is also rated for lower voltages than the SL9ZL.

My E6600 is a Week 30B, SL9S8 spec. 3.6ghz requires 1.475v for me.

Week 29F, which OC to 3.6ghz with less than 1.4v (source), and is the SL9ZL spec.

Anyone know what spec other weeks are? or could they vary within cpu weeks?

very interesting indeed and I suspect there's more to this info then meets the eye

There's also a 10w difference in C1E state

Very intriguiging indeed, think I'm going to do some digging on this one

My Xeon is a SL9U2, 629B

The Intel page for those doesn't seem to provide as much info. Unfortunately I sent my E6400 in for RMA so I can't check that one, but I will definitely check the replacement I get.
