the case is crap (built one for a friend with it).

Ok actually its fine but for 50$ there are better deals. Antec900 can be found for 90$ and is much better.

Get a different CPU cooler

I'm getting the 3600+ brisbane because of its famous OC ability. It can OC better than the 3800+ from what I've read.

Looks like we're getting the same case.

I know that iampoor suggests a different cooler, but what's the general consensus on the Arctic Freezer 64 Pro? A Big Typhoon will run me twice as much where I'm buying my stuff, so I'd rather avoid it if I can.

Also, how important is changing the thermal paste to Arctic Silver? Worth it?
you will not get to 3gHz safely with an AC freezer on the brissy -- you NEED a Tt BT or ultra-120 or other high-end cooler.

shifty got to 2.9 on his brissy with his (now my) scythe mine revB - and the scythe is MUCH better than the ac freezer. (I had an ac freezer on my opty165 and hit the thermal wall at about 2750mHz.

also, artic silver 5 or artic silver ceramique are pretty great pastes for 4-6$ a tube. And a tube of either of these lasts forever.

UPDATE:

For cooling, how about a Zalman CNPS9500? Decent for my overclocking needs?

Also, is there any possibility that it won't fit my mobo?
