Quick question related to OC and RivaTuner

Thread Starter
Hi,

When using RivaTuner to over-clock, do I need to save the new frequencies in all three categories or just Performance 3D ? There is a drop-down box at the top-right ? Well, the first one is "Standard 2D", the second is "Low Power 3D" and the last one is "Performance 3D". So, for example, if I move the slider on the Core and Memory at ... say maybe 550/850, then do I need to apply that only for Performance 3D or all of the three categories ?

I'm sorry I know I'm repeating myself, I just want to make sure I explained this correctly. I thank you for your help and your time.

you only need to do it on performance 3D for OC.

You might want to consider turning down the fan rpm for low power 3D and 2D however (as long as your temps stay low and there is some benefit in noise reduction in the context of all the noise in your system).

Ok, thank you sti_boy.

Additionally, I would like to know if I need to put D3DOverdrive.exe in RivaTuner's Launcher for it to work properly ? I'm sorry it isn't about OC'ing anymore but I don't want to start up threads everywhere for simple things like this that could be answered here. If you or anyone else knows about this I would appreciate an answer, thanks again guys.
