New Computer Build in December

Hello there everyone

I'm building a new system in December and need some advice with choosing some parts. I have the general idea what i want some advice what i should choose, helpful it would be to get some links and some Australian prices


I will list down now how much im willing to spend on parts



CPU: 300-400 (INTEL)
MOTHERBOARD: 200-300
MEMORY: 200-250
CASE: 450-500 (WATER COOLING BUILT INTO IT)
DVD BURNER: 50-80 (SATA OR BETTER)
HDD: 100-200 (AT LEAST 300GB, WD HDD, SATA OR BETTER)
KEYBOARD: 100-120
MOUSE: 100-120
LCD MONITOR: 350-400
POWER SUPPLY UNIT: 150-200
SPEAKERS: 150-200
VIDEO CARD: 500-550

2650-3320



Please suggest some parts that would be good to get in December, link some links and australian prices please, also, anything that i might of missed

can you point us to some Oz websites that sell computer hardware? We'll be better able to help you with that info.

I know that parts in Oz will cost about 1.5-2x what they cost here.

What kind of mouse would you spend 100 ON!?!?!?!?!???? The top of the line *in my opinion* is the razer DeathAdder that will retail (From their website) @$60 (and you know it will be $50 on better retailers like newegg)

December?? by that time all the prices will have changed, and new stuff will be introduced that will fit your budget that arn't even available now. Heck, Intel's slashing prices in July, that completly throws everything off as it is. Also, the G92 will probably be released by then, which is an entirely new ball game.

However, its not a bad idea to get a jump start on the technology thats out, but I wouldn't go counting your eggs before they hatch.


And you are going to have one monster of a machine.

That's what I was thinking. You could put your keyboard/mouse money to much better use. Maybe get some high end RAM.
