Is my CPU running too hot?

Thread Starter
I dropped down my overclock to 2.55Ghz for the summer, now it's about 30C outside and I just closed ArmA and checked my CPU tempurature, it was at 60C.

My question, will running at 60C load damage my CPU significantly?

Well, obviously the colder the better (to an extent). I think 60C might be a bit too high, though.

Check this out: (CPU max temps)
http://users.erols.com/chare/elec.htm

Edit: Looks like the "official" max temp is 78° C for the X2 3800+ AM2.
I'd personally keep it under 60C, but then again, I don't have an x2 cpu. :/

full load 60c isnt too bad but just idle or 30 percent then thats a little high

60C is ok for 90nm (prescotts throttle at 65). But Id still try to get it lower.
Very nice!

Nono, during the winter it was at 42load and 37 idle, it's just because it's 32 C outside
