modular psu.....

Thread Starter
im looking to run the items below(of course oc'ed):
cpu
gpu
motherboard
hard drive(possibly two)
Ram
i was looking at ther silverstone strider but with all the above (minus a case, cooling fans, monitors, optical drives, keyboard and mouse setup) i was slitely($24) over my budget of $1000 shipping not included
so i was wondering is there a better MODULAR psu for the price?

if not ill just go with the ocz 700w

I think that GPU's going to need a bigger PSU then that silverstone strider.

BTW, if you're on such a tight budget, forget about getting a modular PSU, just get a good one. You're not budgeting enough for a good PSU right now IMO.

I'm going to agree with that. I'd say at least a good 600w for the extra headroom, but a 700w is even better.
'bout time.

If you have to, cut back on the processor to get a better PSU. You will regret it sometime down the line if you opt for a cheap PSU now.

Or if you can wait, wait till the quad core prices drop to like $300, by then the dual core prices will plunge.
