Jay, there is a cable coming from your chiller to your TCM that has a black header on it. It should be thin and not look like the rest of the pump/fan headers.

This sensor regulates the TEC so the chiller doesn't overcool an idling processor and get condensation. If you are oc'ing and/or unhappy with your temps, chances are you aren't at in any risk of condensation anyways.

You can unplug this cable while your rig is running and you should notice a little improvement. Just don't unplug the pump header

If in doubt, consult your manual

Shifty, the removing the sensor isn't really a mod but it will work with either the Eliminator or the Freezone.

Some people are using this technique along with a higher CFM fan to get more performance out of the Freezones here: http://www.overclock.net/peltiers-te...zone-20-a.html

If I were you, I'd go with the Freezone over the Eliminator.

I had a freezone...

The pump failed after 4.5 months. I'm currently wading through the damage, headcount so far is my processor. I don't recommed such a complex 'all-in-one' device, stick with traditional watercooling kits and throw a TEC in if you're dedicated. Besides, the thing was damn loud...

I agree, separated parts means more time in the installation, but you get to know your system better, and in case of a failure, isolating the problem is much much much easier.
