Rumored SLI Cooperation between Intel and Nvidia - Page 2

Paul, remember a while back when you got an e-mail from nVidia which the guy told you there might be SLI support for your P5WDH?

The technology they're talking about it's for DX10 GPUs and you know Intel luvs to put their own GPUs in their MoBos, which means future MoBos may come with some hard-core on-board GPU which Intel have never had, after all, they've been using the same on-board GPU for a very long, long, long time.

But as far as SLI goes? The nVidia will get the short end of the stick on that one........we all know nForce chipsets are not as reliable in terms of overclocking as Intel's. They make more money selling their SLI chipsets than someone buying two cards because as you've seen it here, SLI isn't that popular, almost no one has it.........but they have SLI boards .

Heck, nVidia didn't even give SLI rights to VIA and they were the competition as well and to this date? So, if there's one last thing nVidia will give up, it's SLI, otherwise their chipsets will be history.

"IF", there's SLI for Intel chipsets I'm there but otherwise I'm not touching an nForce with a 10 ft pole. Now that I have this GTX, I may buy a 2nd one but definitely, not an nForce.

Very interesting however I doubt Intel would buy Nvidia as both parties I beleive are not interested in that.

Wow anyone else notice?

Call me a sceptic but you very seldom see *genuine* adverts from large coporations (sic) with spelling mistakes.

I think that it sucke.Intel makes some crapey chip sets,I have had 3 intel rigs with intel chipsets and they all sucked i got very little overclockig if any form them.I will stick with nvidia chipsets.

Umm.. wrong. Intel chipsets are FAR better than nforce chipsets.

No one is saying Intel is planning on purchasing Nvidia. They are just making deal wit them! Intel chipsets are the best chipsets for Intel processors.

Intel chipsets are the best for overclocking, you probably "bought" Intel based motherboards where there's no overclocking possibilities, I've had 3 Intel motherboards and they've been the most reliable boards I've ever had, except, of course no overclocking features.

But nVidia has screwed up since their first release of nForce chipsets for Intel, specially the 590 which it never made it, it was canceled because it was horrible, just like the nForce 4.

It saddens me that people that own amd rigs think nForce is good for Intel but sooner than later they find out the awful truth.
