Please look over this part list for water noob

This is my anticipated water build. Any suggestions or anything I've missed please let me know.

1. Swiftech GTX water block
2. Swiftech MC655 pump
3. Thermochill PA120.3 triple-fan rad
4. Thermochill Shroud
5. Thermochill Grill
6. Swiftech Hydrx fluid
7. Swiftech MCRES resevoir
8. Swiftech Rad box
9. Tygon 1/2" ID x 10ft
10. Swiftech 625 coils
11. sundries - hose clamps etc.

Also, is there a big difference between the Swiftech and Thermochill rads? I couldn't really find anything definitive on this.

yup there is, the Thermochill are high end rads, as well as the Hw Labs rads.
Setup looks good.
How do you plan on mounting the rad?

Thanks for the review and

I don't have a clue about mounting the rad - I was going to wait to get the parts in and see. The back of the Stacker case isn't flush so I may wind up not even attaching it to the case. Plus the heat blasting off the PSU can't be good. I'm going to buy the Radbox just to have it available and may have to mount everything on it's own stand.

I was also contemplating not having anything in the case other than the water block i.e. the res and pump outside.

Pics of my current setup are in the pics sticky.

BTW that Stinger looks wild -how does it stack up against the Swiftech GTX? And the 4-rad vs the 3-rad?

Any advice is welcome and thanks again.

But i went for the 480GTX becasue i like overkill

Take a look at the pics in my signature.

Yeah that looks good...If you go with a 360 rad just use a rad-box to hang it on the back of your case...I like to keep mine out in the lower room ambient temp's to...

Thanks guys!

Gosh, 2 pros both with Stingers and 480GTX Rads - I think I better follow you as I have to believe you know more than I do!

Is that 3 hoses going in/out of that Stinger. I wonder if that is just what a quad needs. I better google it but where did you buy your units?

Thanks again for the help.

They both bought their blocks from here :

http://www.stingerwaterblocks.mysite.com/

The gentleman that makes them is a member of this forum ... goes by the handle of "fstfrddy".

Also, if you feel like a nice looooong read, check out our posts concerning a quad-core specific block we're trying to design ... here - http://www.overclock.net/water-cooli...ock-ideas.html

Yup thats 1 in(middle) and 2 out (the sides)

The Thermochill PA.120.3 is as good as the 480GTX with low CMF fans, but as you go to higher CMF fans the 480GTX beets the Thermochill, thats why i i picked the $80 over the 123.3, simply
potential. And it looks bad a**
