What should I get?

Thread Starter
Hi all,

I originally posted this thread under the 'Sound Cards' section, but that it'd be more appropriate here.

Anyway, here's the link to my previous post in the 'Sound Card' section--maybe some Linux gurus can help me out..... Thanks.

Oh, and sorry for the "quasi-double post,"

I'd get the one that that was said to work with ALSA. You'd have a better chance of it working.

To my knowledge the Sound Blaster Audigy SE 7.1 is very very similar to my Sound Blaster Live! 7.1. They both seem to be using the same architecture but the Audigy is better. You should be fine and with Ubuntu, it actually may automatically pick it up.

I had no issues getting my sb live to work at all.
