I am working on a new overclock, I have a 3.0GHz Presscott and 2 x 512mb Mushkin DDR400 RAM. I am wondering how I should change my memory timings. The default timings are 2.5-4-4-8. I heard some people saying looser memory timings with a higer memory speeds are best for intel processors, but I'm not too sure. I also dont think my RAM is too overclockable as it's by Mushkin, and I heard they arent meant to overclock. The only problem with my motherboard is that I cant seem to lock my memory at 400MHz. In the BIOS settings I set for the DDR Frequency to 400MHz, but CPU-Z tells me that my memory is running at 440MHz. Should I try to tighten the timings some and underclock my RAM, so that it will be running at almost 400MHz with the overclock? Sorry if you dont get some of this post, I'm not too good on the subject of memory. Thanks!
