Actually, I think he has the cpu you linked...which is not a 771..its a X3220 775 socket. But the answer is yes, there are some 771 cpu's that are compatible in the P5B-DLX. Although ASUS will not officially say they are supported, some are compatible. Unfortunately, most that have discovered just what cpu's have worked, has all been found by trial and error. This is nothing new.

i would go with any of the P5B boarsd myself, and im very fond of the P5wdh board 'teh digital home board' if 650i and 680i s=are strong as well, if you dont need SLI then i would go eitehr 650i or P5B-Deluxe
