HD issue with new build?

Thread Starter
Well i just built this really nice computer that im using:
8800GTS
Core 2 Duo 6600
Evga 680i Mobo
GSkill Ram
74gb Raptor
400gb Seagate

the problem is: it will only recognize the raptor, and that is what the OS is on.

can anyone offer suggestions on how to recognize the new HD?

Windows XP I presume, R/click My Computer> Manage> Disk Management.
Is the drive in there?
In the future I recommend staying within brands when buying multiple HDD, each manufacturer has their own utility for setting up new drives.

Western Digitals Data Lifeguard Tool is one of the best, if not the very best.

glad you got it fixed

You have to put a partition on a new drive for windows to see it (what formatting does)
