Well I know that you can view blu-ray films on an SDTV. However when I attemps to all the colour is gone and is just grey. The film plays just no colour...What seems to be wrong. Im guessing theres a setting somewhere im forgetting ?

Its like that if your tv doesn't support 60hz (NTSC,480,PAL-M). Its black and white on my ancient 28" panasonic but full colour on the 32" sony triniton

Im using the Component RCA jacks to scart.

My TV does support 60HZ so still kind of lost..Ive played with a few settings on the PS3 but still no joy

I dont know what the problem is but that just seems like a waste to buy and play Blu ray movies on a SDTV it doest support that kind of tv and you pay the extra for stuff you can see.

Hmm that doesn't make much sense. Try looking at these options:

Under Display Settings:

Cross Color Reduction Filter. I keep my off personally - maybe that's messing with your display. Worth the shot anyway.

Under BD/DVD Settings:

Cinema Conversion, try changing that. I'd say adjust the other options in there but they look they're for HDMI only.

Other than that, is your Video Output set at Component?

Hope it works out for you.

Technically I would think so. I've never used VIVO before on my cards either. But it stands for Video IN, so I would think it would work. Worth the shot anyway.
