Actually on amazon and newegg blu-ray movies are sometimes cheaper than their dvd counterparts. And he can always buy a hdtv in the future when prices come down.


As for how to help ya Enterprise, I dont know too much about the pal standard. Maybe it has something to do with the scart connection? have you tried other inputs.

on the issue of color loss, I seem to get that with my menu at times. Sometimes it is grayscale, ony running 480i at the moment on the big screen, but then yesterday morning after firmware update, it is purple? I dunno, I'm probably just too much of a noob to understand...

My XMB and games color is fine just Blu-ray. Btw the XMB background changes colour as the months progress its normal.

you said you are sure that your TV can run at 60 hz, but are you sure it is?? because I am pretty sure that that is the cause of this problem for most people.

Yeah it use to be a problem with an old TV of mine..Well Ill check again mate...this is pretty frustrating lol..everything works but Blu-ray.
