Laptops are more tricky than a desktop. Have you noticed any problems or increased temps ? If no then usually I would avoide opening it up as it can be a royal pain.

Usually you can pop the bezel that has the power buttons and stuff off with a flathead screwdriver, look for a little tab that looks like its there for that purpose. Under there will be the screws holding the keyboard on, remove those. Then unscrew the screws on the bottom of the laptop, they hold the rest of the top plate on. Be sure to take the battery out first.

I second that. It can be a puzzle at times. Just be prepared for a large job and think it over before you start.

Get a can of compressed air, and blow it all over. That's all you need to do.

Hi

I have made a guide for cleaning out the ZD 8000 - since so many people was complaining about overheating.

link:

http://www.realsancristobal.com/mygu...lion_zd_80.htm

hope it helps someone

It only took 5 hours taking it apart - and 30 minutes to put it back together... I feel like I have a new computer each time.

Peace

/Halaster
