*sigh* ANOTHER mobo and CPU problem.

Thread Starter
After finally getting back a new, good motherboard and installing windows at 27 - 31C on stock cooling, I ran into a problem. The thing is I did NOTHING that could have screwed something up. I simply checked temps, installed windows, had fun, turned off and went to sleep. The computer was running fine for 5 or 6 hours, but after I woke up the next morning, the CPU fan was weird.

So now, after pushing the power button, I can see the fan moving for 1 second, stopping, then trying to move over and over. It's pissing me off because I did abolutly nothing I hadn't done before before turning out the light. (Besides plugging in a ethernet cable, which I doubt did anything). I don't get any beeps or anything, I've never overclocked, and I've never changed anything in CMOS. I also reset CMOS just in case, but I got nothing. Any suggestions?

That's normal when the temps are low. If the fan still doesn't activate at 50c, you should look into that the fan is faulty.

In bios there is a option to change your fans. You can change it from smart fan to full on.

sorry, I had a loose video connection. I guess it is, because I'm getting 23C right now. It just seemed odd to me how the fan looked as if it were TRYING to spin, and it still does...should I be concerned?

[EDIT] Nevermind, it started. Sorry!
