24" FPD2485 Gateway LCD FTW! - Page 2

Any input lag? Mine has input lag, every 24"+ LCD i've seen has input lag =/

My 46" XBR2 LCD has such severe input lag, I bought this. And it still has input lag that is almost unbearable in some games.

You have 2,337 posts.. does that mean your double l33t? O.o

They normally don't match online prices I guess, but I haggled with them enough about it until they caved. It only makes sense to match the actual company's price of the monitor, right?

haha 2x El-leetness. Haven't noticed any lag, but I haven't played any games yet either. If there is hopefully it's minimal.

Murlocke you compute on a 42" Sony XBR? O_o; LOL. Mad huge.

24" has a bit of input_lag indeed. It takes about 2 seconds longer for it to pick up the DVI signal than the 22", but it's actually no worse than the Dell 24".

The only DVI monitor's that I've seen with near-zero input lag are the Apples. 23" and 30" snap on at the exact same time for me.

I use too, but I switched to a 24" 1920x1200 monitor. I use the XBR2 for PS3, 360, and wii

I couldn't stand having to run 4:3 aspect games at 1280x1024 (1920x1080 was the max, so it didn't support 1600x1200)

My 24" monitor has enough input lag that if I scroll up and down on this page really fast, the bar will start moving away from my cursor!

For some reason its very bad somedays, and I don't notice it other days.

None of that nonsense on this monitor, at all. It's damned-near perfect. If I had to ask for more it'd be the viewing angle and one more DVI port. =DDDD

Hey Mike, I was just wondering, does your Gateway make any kind of noise? like maybe from the power supply or backlight. I have the same monitor and it sounds rather like a neon sign at times. It has been bothering me for awhile, but have found no info on the net. Otherwise monitor is awesome, although I do notice some color banding at times.

That's not input lag, it's Windows being slow. You don't see input lag, it's more of a thing that you feel when gaming or moving the mouse around. When I first got the 2407WFP-HC I knew it felt different somehow than the P1130 CRT that I came from, and it was very noticable in CS:S. I read about input lag and thought that was the problem, so I did an input lag test with the two monitors - hook both up and clone the image, run a digital stopwatch on the screen and take a picture. Simple enough, and I found the input lag of the 2407 to be 22ms compared to the CRT, or a frame and a half at 60hz. Noticable, but not horrible.. I can't be sure how it's affected my CS:S abilities because I haven't played since I first tried it out on the new monitor
