Let's see some X1950 Pro Crossfire benches

Here is my 3dmark06 XLS spreadsheet format. I'll have a screen up next time I run it...forgot to take one XD
I think the next set of drivers may help some. I didn't have AFR mode enabled using advanced Catalyst AI, so that may help as well. Using standard 7.4 drivers on this run, and I'm running Warcats now. I also have PCIE1 OCed to 661.5/810. I don't think the core matters though, as the other is underclocked. Bad BIOS flash :\\
EDIT: won't take spreadsheets :\\
Also, default 3dmark settings, default CCC settings.

what are you getting with your X1950pros? How come you didn't go with the 512mb versions? I almost got a pair of pros but it seemed it would be better to get the 2900 and get another for internal CF later, but the pro's seemed like a good choice cause of the internal CF and well design it was a hard choice as I had intended to get them for a long time and have been itching to try out crossfire. If the 2900 hadn't come out when it did I definately would have gone with them.

I get 8470 in 3dmark 06. LOL did you look at my spreadsheet? I exported my score to Excel so I can view the details without having to submit my score. I'm going to run it again sometime; I guess when the 7.5 Catalysts come out.
I didn't get the 512 Mb because I didn't think it would be worth the extra $$$$. I bought the first one in November and the second one about 2 months ago. I would have bought a 512Mb model for the second one, but I didn't know if it will run properly with Crossfire. Maybe I should RMA and get another....I run hi-res 1920*1080, so I would benefit for sure.
BTW, I hear that Crossfire only utilizes one card's memory. Anyone know if this is true?

Nice benches, and for your question: It uses the least of the two, if you have a 512 and a 256, it'll use 256 on both.

Yes you have to have matching memory buffers to get CF working/ if you can sell, your cards and upgrade to 512mb versions. It will help extend the life of your configuration. Newer games will make better use of large frame buffers.

Tyrker beat me to it.

Ok, but does it use both cards' memory, or only one? I heard that it only uses one card's memory, while using both GPUs. The reason I ask is that I won't bother overclocking the second card's memory if it doesn't. I also have 1.2ns memory in one card, while 1.4ns in another. They are different revisions.

Are they both HIS cards? How did it end up with different memory modules?

Yea they're both HIS cards. I'm not sure if they're different memory modules, but they have different BIOSes. One has a stock core speed of 635 while the other has 620. Also one has VIVO and the other doesn't. On the HIS website the 2nd revision shows 1.2ns memory.

HKuve that's a nice score! C2D FTW... I'm getting a new CPU in a year or so. Maybe sooner. Also, did you overclock your cards? Those Sapphires can get some high memory clocks.
