X1900XTX GPU cooler?

Thread Starter
Just got one for $187.50 off ebay!
It's the vanilla ATI version (512mb), so how do you go about installing an aftermarket fan on the GPU? The memory will OC to the sky apparently, but the GPU heats up too much, so...bigger fan.

Is there somekind of tutorial, so I don't jack up my shiny mostly-new toy?

oh, and IT WAS ONLY 187.50!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so happy.

I vote for the Accelero X2. I have one on each of my cards: an X1800XT and an X1950XT. They're dead quiet even at 100% fan speed and cool slightly better than the stock cooler at 100% fan speed (which actually is not a bad performer but is obnoxiously loud). Not to mention that they're cheap too with an average shipped price of around $20.

The instructions that come with it are pretty straightforward. Even if you went slow and took your time, it shouldn't last more than 15 minutes. It's just that easy! The longest parts of the installation are cleaning off the thick layer of thermal paste and placing on the thermal tape on the memory chips.
