ok tyan makes some great server boards that support SLI and dual and ever quad CPU's though they do not support quad core due to the fact the support opteron because well its a freakin server! Tyan supports xeon also btw!

Quad FX is crap...stay far far away from it. Theres no 8 core system that supports SLI right now so your best bet...if you really want to go to the extremes the best would be a QX6800 quad core and SLI 8800Ultras.

second that. It's the best rig you can build right now. And stick with the silverstone or PCP&C PSU. If you want to bust money, get a bunch of raptors in RAID. And make sure to get a good sound card.
