Mineral oil-cooled aquarium computer

Tight

I just don't get it, though. Wouldn't it cut the CPU life short by having the max temp. @ 80+*C?

Or do the temps have diff. meanings from air cooled/water cooled temps?

If above 60 you risk damage to your cpu.

But as they noted it takes (looking at the diagram) less than 3 hours to get tho that.

Temps are always dangerous above 60 no matter what cooling.
It's just the more time you spend above that temp the more damage you could inflict.

I once had my Athlon xp 2200+ jump to 78C and it never really ran the same, and did'nt want to clock as high either

This is the thing with all these oil-filled computers. No one has bothered to remove the heat from the oil. So, the oil is slowly taking on more and more heat.

Put a car radiator into a loop with oil and a high gpm pump.

No but I don't see the point of having your pc in a fish tank if you don't have fish in it.

In theory AND in practice. But, you have to ensure no contaminants are able to enter the water. Those particles are what allow water to conduct electricity.

What we need is a heatsink which is basically 2 Thermalright 120 Ultra's, without the CPU bases (so, just the fins), connected with heatpipes. One end in the liquid, other end in the air with a fan. That should keep the liquid at 40 or 50C.
