I don't want to turn this thread off topic, so I'll keep this short and concise. The above information is misleading. The WD Raptor is currently the fastest hard drive on the market. If you're going to judge hard drives from benchmarks, it's important to understand what you're reading and what's being measured. If you want the best benchmarks available for gauging hard drives, look at any that involve real world applications. Burst speed, etc are useless graphs

Well the fact is i really need at least 150gb on my primary harddisk (games), and i already have about 400GB filled with media so a 500GB added to that would really be nice.

Thanks for the idea anyways

No i am at my absolute max, and by the time i have this kind of money the prices are sure to have dropped a bit.

But just in case, what can i replace with a cheaper alternative, and what is better bang for buck?
I don't know if the program is offered in Europe, but in the US EVGA offers "step-up" with their video cards, which gives you 90 days protection against price changes. If, within 90 days of purchase, you trade your card in (by post to manufacturer), you get full credit for your purchase price towards the purchase of a better card. In other words, if you pay E289 for the GTS320, and two months later the 8900s come out and prices shift down, you could then mail in your 8800 and get a 640mb version or perhaps a gtx with minimal expense.

Again, not sure if they do it in Europe. If they do, I would go with that. They sell quality gear, and the program more than makes up for any benefits of other brands with the same processing.

the 320 is fine if your only going to be running 1440 * 900, i would get better CPU cooling because you can usually get better cooling for the same price or even cheaper.

And what would be better cooling than a Bigtyp at the same price?
