[EDIT] No AC on right now...its summer
TAT should work on your Mobo, right?

The utlilty is processor-specific....

Well, right now its not very hot. Its actually almost a bit cold...Its 10:36 here, and the sun hasn't made a huge effect yet.

[EDIT] TAT seems liek it isn't working...It blinks for about .1 seconds and goes away.

I tried Everest. I think the temps maybe so low because I just turned it on 30 mins ago? Everest say the exact same readings. 20C for core 1, 22C for core 2. It says the mobo is at 38...The temps have gone up to around 20, 21 or so since boot.

I've also got a intake fan and and exhaust fan close to the CPU fan. Actually, I have 5 fans in my computer. HDD fan, rear fan, CPU fan, PSU exhaust, and side fan.

"a bit cold..."

See what the core temps are when the sun comes out and the ambient temperature of your room rises to around 22-24C (or up to 30-32C where I am ).

At this moment...take advantage of the cool air and do some high-end gaming or run some benchmarks.

You don;t need an Intel branded board, just a board with an Intel chipset, which the DS3 is. However, it also depends on the sensor the manufacture put on the board, there are some that just won't work.

Speaking of Sensors, unless your room is 10c (or less), or you have an AC vent blowing directly into your case, that reading is from a faulty sensor, I would see about getting the board RMA'd.

My CPU runs at 2 degrees, 6 degrees (core 0,1) over ambient when idle. If your ambient temperature is 15c (which is chilly!), then those are normal temps.

Anything under 20C has dissapeared for me. On my first boot I was running 25 -28C, second was around 23 -25, and today it's at 20 - 23C. I wouldn't return the board for faulty sensors, anyway....lol, I've been through so much crap this week about DOA'd stuff...and about TAT, its starts up for a split second, and goes away...
