Hay,

What do you guys think, if i would put a X2 6000 in my computer, will i get much more fps or general performance? I realy wonder how it will affect my fps in games if i bought one of these, and ive compared benchies etc but that didn't help that much. Howmuch % will my fps increase if i bought one of those 6000's?
Just a rough guess, if that is even possible.

If you're game's hard on the cpu (meaning your cpu's limiting throughput to your gpu) the 6000+ will help.

Your overall performance will increase alot

Not enough FPS to make up for the cost of it

If FPS are what you're after, I'd recommend a better video card.

As TLan said, there'd be a boost in FPS mainly in CPU-intensive games, but I think you'd get bigger gains from a better video card.

Just my .02.

You might as well OC your 3800 or buy a 3600 and oc it(the 3600 OCs better than the 3800).

With the right cooling, you can get the 3600 up to the speed of the 6000 and a little more even. Even with stock you probably could get to 2.7+ without much trouble. But the video card is what games like. Maybe some rts's that have like 300 ai units on screen would like a beefy cpu.

really isnt worth it. you wont see much of an FPS gain with a new CPU.
