What should I change?!

post #1 of 21
Thread Starter
I OCed my cpu @ 3.62 Ghz, sometimes my pc freezes, then I have to reset it.

Why is this? What should I change? Spec:

Vvore= 1.54v
1.2vht= 1.49v (asus probeII gives me a warning for this, don't know why)
SB core= 1.52v
CPU vtt= 1.44v (asus probeII gives me a warning for this, don't know why)
NB core= 1.60v (asus probeII gives me a warning for this, don't know why)
memory= 2.13v

temps at idle:
cpu= 40 C
MB= 39 C

Don't know about load temps, but teh cpu won't go above 55 C.

It's gotta be the vcore.

Too high.

Conroes aren't supposed to handle that much voltage.

Lower it before you cut the life short.

Here you go.

So what should I use then? 1.325V? Is that max?

At least lower it to that level, that's what intel recommends.

If you really don't care about your cpu lasting more than 1,5 years up it more than 1.325v

lol, your cpu looks like it hit its wall.

The new batches are a hit or miss, luckily mine was a hit, i can hit 3.8 with 1.5vcore

Some just can't, but yea 1.54 is still too high, even if your load temps are fine, i would suggest 1.5 MAX, 1.45 is fine

Nah, I just need it for like 3-4 months, then I get a quad core.

1.54 vcore might be a tad bit too high. Try not to go over 1.5vcore on air.

Even if your temps are fine. Too high vcore will lower the chip's lifespan to only a few years.

And Intel/AMD's vcore recommendations don't matter and arn't important. They recommend you not to overclock too..
