Appraisal: Kind of Broke PSP (Hacked Firmware)

Ok guys Heres what I have...I have a PSP that i bought 2 christmas ago. I was in the hacked PSP scene and did a few shall I say "Illegal" things with it hah...

The actual insides of the PSP are in working condition and the browser is hacked to look like Windows Vista Ultimate Black. I have changed the boot sequences to scenes from Advent Children and so. This PSP will run if you would like to call them "Back-ups" of your games off of the memory stick. The memory stick in it is a 2GB stick that I was going to reformat and sell alone but I figure maybe I can sell it with this.

Ok so heres whats wrong with it.

I lost some screws to the faceplate (about 3) and broke the bottom plastic for the screw. When the faceplate is not on snug the analog likes to move on it's on kind of. As in when it's not snug the cursor would always be moving. So what I did to be cheap becuase I didin't want to have to find a new faceplate and screws was super glue the faceplate legs into the screw holes. It worked fine for a day until the cursor STILL moves. So basically if you want to fix it your going to have to rip off the Faceplate, buy a new one, get some screws and make everything work. I would fix it myself but I'm tired of PSP becuase I'm trying to get my computer all upgraded and stuff.

Like I said the actual PSP is in working condition and can run Homebrew off of it. The FW version is called "3.30 OE-A" There are a few applications already on my memory stick that can be run such as a different browser shell as well there are a few games on the stick already. There are a few dead pixels throughout the LCD but they are all out of the way and you can never notice them except for the black screen.

Don't try to tell me it's worth like 20 bucks becuase I call it broke becuase not only do bricked PSP's go for about 40 bucks for parts, Mine is not bricked the BIOS and motherboard and chip and everything work great.

I can remove the Custom Firmware and put it at whatever version of firmware if you like but trust me when I say that custom FW you can make your PSP do almost ANYTHING. So what do you say guys?

Technically if you want to be Technical about it. The actual firmware version is the notorious 1.5 FW which Sony has been trying to get rid of becuase of what you can do for years.

EDIT: The only real UMD game for it I have is Tekken: Dark Resurrection which I will send as well.

I also have the charger of coarse for it.

I sold my Bricked PSP for 35$$.. It had 3.03OE-C (yes the first firmware where you can go inside your Flash0/1).

why don't you get the U.P Chip and restore the firmware

it's an appraisal, he's asking us to give him a price.

I almost bought a used psp for around 120 CAD around christmas. I'd say around $60-85 USD because of the 2 gig stick. Seems like you beat that thing up pretty good, so it depends on whose buying.

i say $80 -$100. the go for $130 or so in real good condition and the 2gb card is worth like $20 i think. anyway maybe a bit more but people dont like to hassle with fixing stuff.

Like I said it would cost you probably 25 bucks at most to buy a new faceplate and screws but you would have to rip off the faceplate that is glued on, I had it working with 2 screws missing but once I lost a 3rd one on the side the cursor moved lol. So even if one of the holes is unusable becuase I shoved glue in it (I doubt that though) as long as it has one of the other 2 the analog stick will not mess up.

I was thinking around 70-85 shipped since yes It comes with a 2GB stick and a UMD copy of Tekken. The stick is around 15 aand the game is at least 10 bucks. Add 25 bucks to fix it and you have a completley hacked out PSP that was already modded by me with a 2GB stick and Tekken for 95-110 bucks with minor work.

What Should I put it up for though? I guess just put an asking price in here for 70-85 shipped then?

Even though mine is "broke" in a way the difference is a bricked PSP is a lot harder and more annoying to fix than a simple faceplate change.

i would say around $75 bucks plus $10 shipping because most people won't know how to replace a faceplate, and faceplates aren't that cheap, around $20 i've seen. Also you wouldn't beable to say it has custom firmware on any legitimate trading site since it is against all their rules so you wouldn't beable to get more for it...

Custom firmware is not illegal. It's the actual roms and isos that are illegal. But anyway I just made a video with my phone showing my PSP and how a hacked one works so if anyone wants it they can PM me and I will send them the link to the video. Quality isn't the greatest coming from a phone but it shows what a version such as mine can do and you can make everything out.

If you've superglued the faceplate on then probably only about $60 shipped
