X1950XT problem

Thread Starter
I just built a new system and my Sapphire X1950XT is being underclocked. The Core and memory stay the same speeds when I switch from 2D to 3D. The Poller service IS enabled. I am monitoring it with ATI Tray Tools with monitoring graphs and its staying at 2D speeds. Anybody know whats going on?

heard something about those cards and the power hook-up and the 6+8 connectors instead of 6+6 like is allowed to run but extra inputs for overclocking, just thought i would say that? ramsfan you live in missouri or is it a diff rams???

He is talking about the X1950XT not the 2900. I think AT disables the poller on start. So you would have to go into the options and look for the option to keep the poller enabled.

Download ATITool 0.27. Go into settings, and go under X1000 overclocking, and you'll see a bunch of options for 2d/3d clock switching.

Welcome, btw

This did it. Thanks for the help guys! I really appreciate it. I've also been having troubles with running CCC and ATI Tool together. If I have them both running, it will cause a 3D program to lock up when I launch it. I installed ATI Tray Tool and it never switched to 3D mode at all. I finally uninstalled everything and reinstalled ATI Tool only and it works great after changing the options around. CCC worked well but I couldn't find anywhere to change fan settings.

Rick, I live in Illinois and I love the Rams. I'm a huge Kurt Warner fan. Wish they still had him.
