How can I pass 2.88 on my E6400 without touching the vcore.......?

it all depends on your chip really. I've seen people get 3.0ghz on an E6300 with LOWER than stock Vcore ( How I don't know)

But I've also seen people who need 1.5 Vcore just to get 3.0ghz

Don't be afraid to give the Vcore a little boost.

Good luck - my E6420's vCore had to bump to 1.38 (not bad) to make it to 2840 stable. But, under droop it's right at 1.33. Like it's been said - a little more vCore isn't a bad thing.

What have you done so far?

What are the settings set to when the system fails?

0.850V-1.3525V are the rated voltages.

What are your specific concerns insofar as Vcore bumping?

the box says don't exceed 1.35, i get 3200 stable @ 1.3 and 3400 at 1.35
