thoughts regarding new e6x50 series

Thread Starter
this is just sorta an opinion post that i though ppl should know about. my though on this this is that intel is just using these processors to stop overclocking cuz what they do is they have the same speed but its achieved through a higher fsb and lower multi. i think they labled this as an advantage of having higher fsb which could reduce bottle neck(has been tested and standard e6x00 series isnt much slower then e6x50 series only like a couple percent) but the true reason is to stop overclockers from buyin cheaper cpus and overclocking to more expensive ones. this lower multi in my opinion hinders overclocking very significantly.

Won't this just push clockers away from Core2 and towards AMD?
It seems to me releasing these processors is comitting Core2 suicide!!

thats what i thought cuz i definatly dont want one cuz i think its a scam. and i am an intel fan boy but they are _____ cuz if they knock out amd then they will take over the market and the prices will sky rocket so i do want amd to still hang around and maybe who knows in the future i might bye one of their components.

well they have the same multi as the current eqivelent proc.
Just a 333 x 4 bus.
The E6600 is now 3ghz stock
e6400 is like 2.6
e6300 is like 2.3
Now look at the charts...Hmm.. The processors that would be their price today have the same multi but lower clock but... change fsb to 333...OMG HAX

lol, the p35 board can do over 600 fsb, lower multi wont hinder much really. I run 7 multi anyway and if you guys have not yet, you should try it. For me, the FSB raise, drops almost 2 seconds off my pi. I went down 75mhz and all my benches went up.
