If you gotta cheap out on the rest of the components to stay in your budget, the it's not worth it to go C2D.

MuteMath:Try a Brisbane X2 3600+, Biostar Tforce 550, and 2 gigs of whatever PC2-6400 ram you want/can afford with that budget and a Geforce 8800GTS. Should be under $650.00 for all that I think. Just a rough estimate off the top of my head.

This is exactly what I thought. Luckily I emailed the store and got this response. Sorry for the bad grammer but this is how I recieved it.

"Thanks for your email, Yes, we can make system according to your requirement, if you are going to change the specification, please just let us know, for this AMD performace system, the price $1069.00 is very good, I can probablly do a little bit better for you, and one more thing, if you want to change CPU and Motherboard, just pay difference,Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at 905-947-1918, my name is Billy,Thanks again,"

It looks like I'm probably going to go Core2Duo, hopefully the difference isn't a lot of money.

Inthon.

Everything on my computer is outdated. Even the DVD-RW can't burn DVD's correctly only CD's... I might keep that as a CD-RW though who knows. The only things I might keep are the printer, mic, keyboard, mouse, and maybe monitor. But if I can get a gaming keyboard/mouse for cheap I will quickly replace that. For now I need advice on a good PSU & Fan for cheap from this site ---> www.pcvonline.com

7950 > 8600

I would say cut back on the AMD processor, and make the video card better. These 3600s are BEASTS!!!
