What do I trust? Dangerous Temps?

TAT:

SpeedFan:

Everest:

My FSB is at 400 with an 8x multiplier. My ambient temperature (according to RivaTuner) is 45C. Are these temps okay? I heard TAT wasn't made for Conroes so it came to question in my mind that I should be trusting a different program to monitor temperatures.

(Don't mind the Aux:127C in SF, it's a common glitch with the P5Bs)

Thanks in advance.

Thats getting up there, maybe you should back down your overclock if your ambient is that high.

No, full load.

They're all @ 55C

Don't worry about the other ones anyway.

Always trust TAT. It's never let me down, it accesses the chip's temperature sensor.

Why would the CPU have a higher temperature than the cores?

TAT is most accurate.

RMClock is most accurate. TAT can give temp spikes - it's not meant for c2d processors (look at your own screenshot.. are you running an pentium m or a c2d?) Speedfan is good, but may read 15 °C too low (it does on my q6600).

Using various monitors (mainly intel TAT) i get about 5 degree difference in temps between cores (core0 is always the hotter). doesnt make a huge difference in reality but would be usefull if someone could tell me why this would happen. is this common?

the different monitors tend to agree within a few degs, but i always use intel TAT as my benchmark (or bios if i can be botherd)
