Yeah the ultra really doesn't seem to score much better then a GTX at stock, but they are supposed to overclock higher.

yeah, it's a crazy card. 675 core / 2210 mem (!).

No volt mods or whatever.

Needless to say, I am happy

Considering this is STOCK, its not bad in my book. Does it justify spending the extra $ for the ultra? I am still thinking about that myself...

I did a trial OC run of e6600@3.1 and Ultra@645/2294 in 3dmark06 = 11,554

I am waiting on my eVGA 680i A1 Mobo and 2nd Ultra to see what the gain on points is.

Edit: I changed all links to compare instead of details. Sorry!

Edit: Changed my mind on the eVGA 680i and went Asus.

if you want to compare, with my stock cpu and my 8800gtx KO i get 10240. not to sound like a jerk, but i tought the Ultra was faster than that.

I agree with you. I was expecting around 12k. But then again there are many factors. These runs were down with NO tweaking whatsoever.

You probably should change the Nvidia control panel settings to high performance. It'll probably add a lot on your score.

It seems Vista has got something to do with it too. People with XP benchmark better with similar rigs over Vista owners.
